ASELSAN has expanded its presence in the Middle East and the Gulf region by opening a new office in Muscat, Oman. The opening ceremony was attended by President of the Defense Industry Agency (SSB) Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün, Turkey’s Ambassador to Muscat Prof. Dr. Muhammet Hekimoğlu, ASELSAN General Manager Ahmet Akyol, TUSAŞ General Manager Dr. Mehmet Demiroğlu, HAVELSAN General Manager Dr. Mehmet Akif Nacar, and ROKETSAN General Manager Murat İkinci.
With this move, ASELSAN continues its regional expansion after previously opening offices in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan. The new Oman office aims to enhance the company’s market reach and increase its export capacity by offering advanced defense solutions.
During the opening ceremony, ASELSAN General Manager Ahmet Akyol stated that the Muscat office will focus on marketing and trade operations. In addition to strengthening its customer support and after-sales services, ASELSAN will contribute to Oman’s security and technological advancements, as well as to neighboring countries in the region.
President of the Defense Industry Agency Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün highlighted the global success of Turkey’s defense industry in recent years, emphasizing its technological advancements and growing export capacity. He added that ASELSAN’s presence in Muscat will strengthen ties with the Gulf region and deepen defense cooperation between Turkey and Oman.

The Muscat office will play a key role in regional marketing and sales operations, supporting ASELSAN’s goal of strengthening its international partnerships.
