Baykar achieved $1.8 billion in UAV exports in 2024.

Baykar achieved $1.8 billion in UAV exports in 2024, with 90% of its total revenue coming from international sales. As a leading player in the global unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) market, the company maintained its dominance, securing its position among Turkey’s top 10 exporting firms.

By handling one-fourth of Turkey’s total defense and aerospace exports, Baykar played a crucial role in establishing Turkey as a global leader in UAV exports. According to a 2024 report by the Center for a New American Security (CNAS), Turkey currently controls 65% of the global UAV export market. Baykar has surpassed its closest American competitor by a factor of three, holding its position as the world’s largest UAV manufacturer for the past four years.

In 2024, Baykar exported UAVs to 35 countries, with Bayraktar TB2 entering the inventories of 34 nations and Bayraktar AKINCI being delivered to 10 countries. 97.5% of the company’s contracts were export-based. Baykar also made significant progress in the European and NATO markets, securing a major contract with Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense in 2023. In 2024, an agreement with Croatia enabled Bayraktar TB2 to enter the inventories of 6 NATO member states and 4 EU nations.

The 2024 delivery schedule was highly active for Baykar. In January, Bayraktar AKINCI was delivered to the United Arab Emirates, followed by Bayraktar TB2 shipments to Romania in February. Additional deliveries were made to Albania, the Maldives, Poland, and Mali. During the summer, shipments were sent to Kenya, Pakistan, and Morocco, while the fall and winter seasons saw deliveries to Croatia, Kenya, Azerbaijan, and the UAE.

Baykar’s export success not only reinforced Turkey’s global presence in the defense sector but also solidified the company’s position as the world’s most influential UAV manufacturer.
